I create my own textures and backgrounds for my digital collage art. Sometimes what started to be just another background takes on a life of its own. This texture composition started while I was listening to Scripture. Instead of deleting it, I decided to add some more layers, including a photo I had taken of some old, weathered siding badly in need of paint. Why broken lines? Isn’t anything broken bad? Not necessarily. I started thinking about things that needed to be broken, that breaking them was a positive thing and not a negative thing. Bad habits need to be broken. What about negative thoughts that led to bad or even harmful decisions? The unhealthy habit of eating junk or processed food? (You know who you are!) Procrastination? Not saying I ever have a problem with procrastination. Just thought I would mention it. I am sure you can think of things in your life that have been broken or need to be broken! To help remind you, I am including a free download here of Broken Lines that you may use as wallpaper on most devices or print and frame. The download file is a little lighter in color.

Thanks for your comment. Don't know if I will add spaghetti to the list of things that should be broken. Comments are closed.
