Everyone needs some encouragement at times. While I was working as a nurse, my Mom made me a card for every night I worked that had Scripture and uplifting words. I am no longer working as a nurse, but have a second career as an artist. She still makes a couple of cards for me each week. One that she gave me recently had these words: “God never asked me to go it alone.” I sat staring at that card today, thinking of all I had to do. Even though I feel that God has called me to be an artist, switching from thinking as a nurse to a professional artist is not easy. Not having anything to do with business makes for a huge learning curve. It is easy to become overwhelmed, especially in the world we live in today. I stared at those words and realized that I have the most important connection a person can have. I am connected to God thru Jesus Christ. I am never alone, even when I have come to a roadblock, felt so frustrated I could have cried (more than once!!!), or had to revise my website again and again and again, and… I look back since I embarked on this new journey as a digital collage artist, and realized that the Lord has been with me all this time, gently guiding me and never expecting me to walk this path alone. Even during this pandemic, I have never been alone. The only times I felt alone was when I was so busy feeling sorry for myself! If you want to know how to become connected to God so that you are never alone, please go to my “Encouraging Words” page and download the free “Making Connection with God.” There is a free 4x6 download this week with two encouraging verses from the book of Psalms.
